I Can't Connect

If you have made sure that all the wires and everything is plugged in and switched on, the next step is to reset your modem/router.

If you are with Virgin Media Business

  1. Using a pin or something similar push the ‘Reset’ button on the back of your modem and count for 30 seconds*
  2. Allow the modem to reboot fully
  3. Once all the lights are on, try and join the WiFi network again

*30 seconds is important, when then the modem is reset using this method it will renew the Dynamic IP address and ping the network. Turning the modem on and off again will not have the same affect.

If you are with GB Technologies

  1. Turn off the power at the wall socket and wait for 5 minutes
  2. Turn the power back on, try and join the WiFi network again

I'm Experiencing Slow Speeds​

Sometimes your broadband speed will vary. This could be down to the number of users online in your house, the device you’re using or the website you are trying to access.

Make sure your router is in a good place, out in the open and away from any objects which could block the WiFi signal.

If you live in a big house with bedrooms across a few different levels, we recommend buying a WiFi Booster to ensure your broadband will reach everyone’s room.

If you think your router is in a good place and a WIFI Booster hasn’t made a difference, get in touch.

If you need tech support outside of these hours, we recommend calling your broadband supplier directly

For Virgin Media Business, you’ll get 24/7 support by calling 0800 052 0800 and selecting Option 3 (its free to call). You’ll need your address, and your Virgin Media Business account name and number to hand, which we’ll email you with your install info. If you’ve misplaced this, let us know.

For GB Technologies, you’ll get support by calling 01896 808333. Please be aware that you will need to pay additional charges for out of hours support.
